Designing effecting learning communities to accelerate digital transformation
Description workpackage 1
This WP addresses how Learning Communities (LCs) can better accelerate innovation in digital transformation. We aim to: 1) evaluate how LCs enable effective learning, collaboration, and innovation by studying 13 LCs focused on digital transformation; and 2) use these insights to develop methods and tools to support these processes with our partners and stakeholders.
To enhance LCs, we need more insights into their design and its impact on learning and innovation. Current evidence is mostly anecdotal, and the success of LCs is better understood when we know the mechanisms of how and why and for whom they work. Understanding these mechanisms is crucial for improving LC design and innovation potential. Therefore, we will conduct three studies to identify what works, for whom, and why. These insights will be used to design tools, guidelines, and a manual for (re)designing LCs to increase their effectiveness.
