The Learning Community Incubator: Supporting learning communities to become innovation accelerators

In WP1, WP2, and WP3 insights and design principles, tools, methods, and workshops are developed that support the design of LCs and their joint learning, collaboration, and innovation practices. To reach the outcomes of enhanced learning, collaboration, and innovation in all our stakeholders, the developed insights and tools need to become available and self-explanatory in use within all the learning communities, their innovation teams, and beyond.
Therefore, work package 4 is aimed at designing an overarching platform, called the LC incubator that integrates the output of WP1-3 and builds a productive space that provides LCs and their (future) members with a wide range of resources to accelerate their learning, collaboration, and innovation processes to drive digital transformation.
Expected insights
As the main aim of this work package is to design the LC Incubator, this work package is organized as an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) project and will mainly consist of designing a platform in which the outcomes of WP1-3 are integrated, organized around the phases of innovation (problem identification, idea generalization, and implementation). Guidance is developed for LCs to help them select the resources fitting their phase of development, phase of innovation and the goals they want to pursue to reach a next level as an LC.
expected outcomes
The LC incubator will be designed as a productive space. The online space will become openly accessible to all partners and stakeholders, including other NWO Learning Community Projects and educational programs. In this way, the LC incubator will not only contribute to enhanced learning, collaboration, and innovation within our learning communities, but also contribute to the societal impact on the development of our Human Capital and organizations to respond to and drive digital transformation.
