Aim of the project

In this project, we address the innovation question of how LCs can become more effective in accelerating innovation for digital transformation. The aim is:

  1. To evaluate the working mechanisms of LCs and gain insights into how organizations and people learn, collaborate, and innovate effectively by studying 13 existing and developing learning communities that work on challenges related to digital transformation.

  2. To use these insights to co-create methods and tools to support these learning, collaboration, and innovation processes with our partners and stakeholders. All insights and outputs will be brought together in a Learning Communities Incubator: a productive space that LCs can turn to for support in becoming more effective in developing human capital and driving digital transformation through accelerated innovation.

Workpackages

The project is split up into four work packages. WP1 is focused on evaluating and re-designing the set-up of the LCs, including how they afford learning, collaboration and innovation in their LC in different settings. WP2 and WP3 zoom in on the two foundational processes for innovation: collaborative learning and interorganizational collaboration in LCs.  In WP4 the Learning Community Incubator is designed that will integrate all methods and tools collected and developed in the project towards a productive space for learning communities that provides a wide range of resources for LCs to become innovation accelerators.
